The selected Architect shall be responsible for providing professional design services including Program Completion, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, Construction Administration and Correction Inspection. This role requires 8+ years of architecture experience with a focus on commercial projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong balance of technical expertise and conceptual design skills, strong interpersonal skills, experience taking multiple projects from start to finish, and possess strong skill with REVIT.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide architectural design and drafting for the company's various design/build projects using REVIT 2019, 2020 & 2021
- Assist with architectural design concepts and plans in the early stages of projects
- Work on design projects from start to finish, consulting with clients and project managers, creating and editing draft designs, and monitoring project progress throughout construction
- Provide design and drafting from schematic design through construction documents (Program Completion, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, Construction Administration and Correction Inspection)
- Architectural designer must keep supervisors and other team members up to date on all updates to projects and may go to construction sites to monitor construction progress in person and help conduct troubleshooting as needed
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering a major project or projects through all phases of development. -Where applicable, gives direction to assigned staff
- Provide detailing of projects and investigate codes while compiling construction documents for design/build projects
- Provide administration of architectural projects including preparing letters, shop drawings, and RFI logs
- The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Architectural degree required. Architecture License (Preferred)
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- MUST have strong REVIT, Design, Architectural Design, and Commercial Construction experience
- Commercial Project Designer/Architect with 8+ years of experience
- Achieve a thorough understanding of the pre-construction/entitlements process in the first 90 days
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multitask
- Strive to further educate yourself and team in commercial construction and building codes as it pertains to our projects
- High knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
