Company History

History of Ribbeck Construction Corporation

Ribbeck Construction Corporation traces its roots to 1946. Upon returning from WWII, Phil Ribbeck started a sole proprietorship under the name Phil E Ribbeck, General Contractor. Edward "Buzzy" Ribbeck, Phil's son, took the business to the next level in 1982 when he founded Ribbeck Construction Corporation and began further developing the company from a small home office sole proprietorship to a diversified corporation.

Buzzy has been involved in every phase of the design and construction process since childhood. He began his career in architecture thanks to a teacher that encouraged him after seeing his aptitude and talent for architecture and drafting. Studying architecture in college, as well as engineering and construction on his own, he began drafting plans while working hands-on as a carpenter for his father. In 1986 Buzzy began to expand the company into real estate and commercial property development. Furthering his prior education & knowledge in real estate investing, Buzzy completed all courses for the CCIM designation.

After founding Ribbeck Construction Corporation, Buzzy moved quickly into the broader markets of industrial and commercial construction, while expanding the customer base already in existence. He continues to emphasize the firm's tradition of excellence, quality, value, and client satisfaction - the core values instilled in the organization by Phil.

Today RCC is a national general contractor and design-build firm serving its clients in twenty-six states with a commitment to teamwork and quality.

RCC works to maintain a healthy balance of design-build and negotiated/open bid work in both the public and private sectors. Projects include new construction and/or renovations on religious, government, institutional, commercial, medical, historical and retail.

Ribbeck Companies is a collection of real estate holding companies that is wholly owned and managed by Buzzy Ribbeck. The collection of asset classes includes Class A Offices, Self-Storage Facilities, Retail Facilities, Housing and Land Developments. This vast experience in preliminary studies, financial proformas, appraisals, financing, designing, building, owning, managing, operating and most importantly maintaining these various types of assets has given Ribbeck a substantial edge in designing and constructing buildings for its clients.

Meet The Team

Edward Ribbeck

President & CEO

Buzzy is a second-generation contractor that has been involved in every phase of the design and construction process since childhood. He began his career in architecture at designing and drafting plans while in high school, furthered by working hands on as carpenter for his father, and working toward a degree in architecture at MSU. For over 40 years he has been actively involved with the ongoing operations and expansion of RCC. Over the years, Buzzy has increased operations into the fields of real estate and development of commercial properties. He is a licensed realtor, notary public, and has held licenses in many states nationwide. Buzzy has also completed all courses required for the CCIM designation.

Camilo Garcia

Project Manager & Civil Engineer

Camilo joined the RCC team in 2006 as a project manager/estimator/engineer and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Bogota Colombia, and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from McNeese State University. Camilo provides repair estimates for structures affected by acts of God, Estimating, Engineering and Project Management. Camilo is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Katelyn Migues

Accounting Manager/Controller

Katelyn joined the RCC team in 2018. Katelyn holds a BS in both Accounting and Finance from McNeese State University and has over 10 years of experience in finance and accounting. Katelyn handles all accounting processes and oversees all accounting practices.

Kayleigh Christerson

Operations' Assistant

Kayleigh joined the RCC team in 2022 as an operations' assistant. Kayleigh has 6 years of experience as an administrative assistant and also holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology obtained at McNeese State University. Kayleigh assists the operations team with the daily operations of a project from the bidding to the final completion. Kayleigh also assists the accounting department performing clerical duties.

Lyle Perkins

Project Manager

Lyle joined the RCC team in 2023. Lyle is a Project Manager and has over 35 years of construction management experience in residential, civil, commercial, and industrial projects. Lyle holds a BS in Construction that he obtained from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA in 1986. Lyle provides RCC with his invaluable field experience to accurately estimate jobs and run them from the bidding to the final completion. His management responsibilities include but are not limited to direct supervision of job superintendents, along with coordinating job startups, labor procurement and dismissal.

Nabil Elsayed

Architectural Associate

Nabil joined the RCC team in 2023 as an Architectural Associate. Nabil obtained a Bachelor of Science Architectural Engineering from Future University in Egypt in June 2023 and was certified by the University of Cincinnati. Nabil has 2 years of experience as a drafter using AutoCAD, Revit, and 3DSMax and assists in creating 2D and 3D designs for our Design Build projects.

Ray Ellender

Carpenter

Ray Ellender joined the RCC team in 2014 as a carpenter. Ray has over 25 years of experience as a carpenter and specializes in custom woodwork/cabinetry. Ray has excellent craftsmanship and takes pride in his carpentry skills.

Frank Camacho

Carpenter

Frank Camacho joined the RCC team in 2018 as a carpenter. Frank started as a carpenter helper with RCC and worked his way up to a carpenter. Frank has over 9 years of experience as a carpenter helper/carpenter. Frank also assists with building maintenance for our properties.
